Not sure Chacha, but it definetly made a difference. I actually stalled pulling into the gas station. I started to sputter a mile or so before the station but finally died just as I was pulling in.
Wonder if your tank liner is shitting the bed. Possibly when the fuel level gets low the pieces all build up around your petcock and are not as scattered around as when tank is full.

I had the EXACT same symptoms with my mastiff 2 summers ago, after fuckin' around with the idea of a fuel supply problem for 2 weeks, finally found out it was the cam sensor (heat related).
