Ya, but it's not a dip stick. Its a thermastat to check your oil tempature once in a while. I had to get a new plug last year, so I said what the hell. Spend $20 more and get a plug with a temp gauge on it!

I wish Coach would pop in here and elaborate on what he was talking about on that other thread "looking to buy a Big dog Chopper and have a few questions".

Here I am....Big Dog must have installed different oil tanks, maybe with different frames. I had a Daytec frame. Clearly your tank is not threaded. We ARE talking about the same, under the seat filler. My cap/tank was threaded w/o-ring, the edges of the cap were numeral, I would use channel locks to give it a little extra. I would take a picture if I hadn't sold it last year. The cap was marked with a number (T-something) in felt-tip marker. Color of the oil tank matched the color of the frame.

Some one here surely will solve the mystery.....we have one Pittbull owner that mentioned he had a screw-in as well.

Mine is threaded and screws in. It has an O-Ring just past the threads. It doesn't have numbers or anything though. I too have a DT frame.

In 2003 two Choppas were produced. Choppa and the DT Choppa, its possible they had different oil bags. One threaded and the other a plug type...:D
