2003 BD Mastiff

Looking for a rotor for rear brakes on my 2003 mastiff. Shop said it is way too loose and needs to be replaced.

Isn't it a free floating rotor?I'm not sure what is considered to much movement. On some bikes they rattle .

I am not sure about rattle but mine are free floating. They are different than automotive rotors.

You probably already know this but free floating rotors are supposed to move. They prevent brake surge that happens when rotors are warped. I would listen to your mechanic before some guy on the internet. Especially when it comes to brakes. Best to research the problem or lack of when facing a big expense like that. Mechanics are not always the most qualified. Ride safe When I say "some guy on the internet" I'm just referring to myself. Lots of qualified people on this forum.

Thank you for all the comments. I will talk to my mechanic to see exactly why he thinks there is too much movement or why it may need replaced.
