So, lately I got the itch to pull my Husky out of the garage and ride again. I found a lot of stuff on it that needs repair and most of it has been taken care of. But there are a few things I have issues with. If anybody here can fill me in on a few points, that would be awesome.
I’ve replace all brake pads and found the calipers both out of whack/in need of proper shimming. The question here is, how accurate do I have to be?
I also replaced the rear tire and when I wanted to tighten the axle, which is really nothing but a big bolt, I wasn’t sure how much torque to use on it. In the forum here I found a few torque sheets but they list 65ft/lbs and that seems low to me.
The other issue I currently have is that I would like to do some changes to the bike. Like a different muffler and maybe a open primary belt drive? But wherever I look, I can’t really figure out which one I need or what would fit this bike. Muffler wise I’d like something that gives me more bottom end torque but my muffler is right gutted and parts are not available anymore. What would you guys recommend?
