2001 ProSport - Spark plug wires and Ignition Switch

Like the title says I have a 2001 ProSport and I'm experiencing a couple problems with.

1st off, one of the Ignition wires keeps popping off of the ignition coil for what ever reason. Would like to know what would be my best option for a replacement set.

2nd, I got this bike used a couple months ago and can't find anyone who can duplicate the 1 key I got. Would like to get a replacement ignition with at least 2 keys but don't know who made this one.

And lastly - WTF is up with "BigDog Inc" / website. I went to the website and all the McAfee bells and whistles went off and wouldn't pull up the page. I got a phone number tried to call Tech support - no one answers the phone or calls back ????

Besides that - I love the bike

Welcome from Florida! I have a 2000 vintage sport & I only have one key also. My key fits tight in the ignition so not super in need of a spare key & I bought a key ring/ d-ring from Eric @ HDM Inc to hook over the plug wire. Just a option. Cheers!

Here at race central, we zip right to the toolbox and grab a tube of 'amazing goop glue' or their silly re-marketing name change to seeing the numbers 6000 across the tube. What's unique about the glue structure is how it peels off as opposed to the other tubes of orange/gray/black-silicone type materials.

With the goop, you can take a pair of needle-nose pliers, grab a chunk and begin to watch it pull off as one piece. Whereas the silicone would pull off what you pinched in the pliers. So maintenance wise, you dab the key switch screws with the 6000 so they don't vibrate loose. You screw down the coil nuts and a little dab will do ya. Run a line of glue across the rubber boot to sparkplug and let dry overnight.

And then you go fucking wild with the shit, it should have a pocket clip like a pen has.... No Shit!

Thanks for all the relies guys

didn't mean to blow anyone off. I dropped my puter getting it out of the truck and trashed the touch screen.

The Zip Ties and a "Cut to Fit" set of 10mm wires from the local HD shop did the trick. Been out on the bike a couple days and no problems with the wires at all

Thanks
