2001 bulldog

hey gang, Longtime dog owner with an embarrassing question. My bulldog has been sitting for several months due to a scare I had the last time I rode.....little rattled. Anyways, it won't start battery is strong even jumped it with a car. Turns over, but it seems as if the mikuni carb is not getting gas. This has happened once before an I believe the issue was vapor lock. Short of rebuilding the carb anyway of priming the pump so to speak?

Have you taken the fuel line off the carb to see if you are getting gas that far?

Appreciate the response. Fuel is getting to the carb but it seems to stop at that point. Dropped the bowel eliminating old gas, the bottom of the bowel was covered in a black sticky goo so I cleaned it up. I am guessing clogged jets and may have to tear it down. All in all it was good to at least work on the old dog, of course after sitting so long while turning over she dropped a bunch of oil....good times!
