I am needing to replace my starter motor. About 4 years ago I had a Big Dog kit put on that increased voltage to the starter to help it out as my dealer said the stock starter was unavoidably undersized due to space constriants. That has worked marginally well, only failing when I would run really hot and shut down and try to restart soon after before the bike had cooled (like a fuel stop). I was turned on to Terry's Motorcycle through JP Cycles for a hi-torque starter specifically for Baker Trannys (I have the 6 speed on mine). Before I spend 6 bills on this dude I sure would like to know it fits! Anybody replaced thier starter with an aftermarket?
