I'm surprised you made it 400 miles with no oil in the primary! Here is an update:
The bad news; i got 400 miles on the bagger and heard a noise coming from the primary. Guess what, no oil in the primary from the factory.

Great update and info...keep it coming!:2thumbs: I can't believe there hasn't been ONE major motorcycle publication with a test ride report on the new Bulldog yet!:loony:Update September:
Have 1,000 miles on the bagger and all is well. A couple of considerations; if you are over 6 feet tall, you will need to purchase the taller windshield that will be coming out this month. The stock one is too short and the wind/bugs hit you right in the forehead. Second, the stereo has great sound but at speed over 50mph you still can't hear it very well. Having the ability to load 1,000 songs on a flash drive and plug that into the system is sweet. I have added a K&N filter, S&S Desperado cover, and slip on mean mothers and the EFI adjusted well, and for a 111 runs pretty strong. The ride is very smooth and confortable. I may want to extend the foot controls if they come out with that option. Another consideration is install the clear plastic rock protectant film on the lower air foil behind the front tire. Rocks beat the shit out of that plastic piece and the clear film does wonders to protect the paint. I think i will also use the film to cover the front of the hard bags as well. People just stop, stare, and ask what the hell kinda bike is that? Pictures to come.![]()
The good news; called the BD dealer in Omaha on a sunday afternoon, (and they answered) and by 10:30 the next morning they came and pickup the bike. Took it apart monday afternoon, called the factory, and the factory is replacing the entire primary. They also paid for the 500 mile service, gave us some shirts, and fell all over themselves saying how sorry they are. I know that this kind of stuff should not happen but kudos to the dealer and factory for making it right. :
You're right it should of been, but it never will be. PDI's are gravy money for techs. I've been there done that.No oil on the primary should have been caught by the dealer during the PDI...so it isn't just the factories fault.
Glad they are taking care of you on it!
And yes, pictures would be awesome!
