Hello. I put 3" over length fork tubes on my 03 Pit Bull. Unless there were a stock front end Pit sitting next to mine, you really couldn't tell much difference. Rides and handles well, rock steady, at speeds over 100 mph. I did this over 10 years ago, I always wished I had ordered a pair of 5 or even 6" over stock. At that time Frank, from "Fork's by Frank" ( now deceased~RIP) you could order " any bike, any length fork tubes" from him. Hope this helps.

I honestly don't remember what weight fork oil I used, but I'm a type of guy who pretty much will confirm to the owners manual suggest. I'm 6'2" and weigh in at 175 ~ 180 Never bottom out my front forks, I think a tad on the stiff side, but not excessive.

You should be aware of your Rake and Trail before changing your bike. You need a balance between how it looks and how it rides. http://www.thompsonchoppers.com/rake-and-trail-calculator/

This link may help you. Nice pics of the fork parts. Pg 2-102 shows 30W for the standard fork and 10W for inverted forks. The Bulldog has inverted forks.
