2.5" forward controls, are the 4" forwards?

I put the 2.5 inch forward controls on my 09 Mastiff and really like it. But my legs are still bent quite a bit.

Are there 3.5" or 4" forward control kits available? (links please?)

I could easily make the brake side but the shifter side is a different story.

Just put the 2.5" on my K9 - must say don't feel much different - knees are
still bend a lot. Ya 4" would be great. Hope somebody has a solution. I'm 6.3

Dam are you on a basketball team? I'm 6'1" and have been considering the forward controls.

I think it's a matter of comfort myself. When I ride the Wide Glide my knees are bent but I'm very comfortable.
I haven't put enough miles on the K-9 to form an opinion however I'm leaning towards the 2.5" forward controls.

I am 6'2" and the BDM kit works fine for me on my mastiff. The fact that I do not have much hair maybe makes up the difference in my helmet for more room!
Before buying the BDM kit I spoke with Accutronix...they make several different kits that will "kick outward" your current controls 1/2" and depending on the plates you buy move your controls forward up to to 4" I believe...but to get the exact same look that the BDM has (without looking added on) you will actually have to replace your current controls themselves if you go with Accutronix...which gets a little pricey. I do think the controls will be much higher quality with the type of bushings that they use than stock BDM controls. It has been almost a year since I checked on this-so give them a call-they were very nice.

yeah I was gonna say Accutronix - as Ratman says though not cheap but you generally get what you pay for.

I have an extra seat pan and foam on order from Big Dog (taking over a month at this point to get it). So, yes, I am planning on reshaping the stock seat and a recover with very high grade and very soft leather (already got the leather).

For me that MIGHT be enough. But knowing what I know now, I would have found at least 3.5 inch forwards rather than the 2.5 BDM sells.

20/20 hindsight is great.

I am 6' 3" myself and have the 2.5 extension, however I installed the BDM Chrome Tribal Forward control kit part no. [Part No. 163-000043-01] and it seemed to help a lot. For some reason they are longer by about a inch or so more than the stockers. Nelson can get them for you at (sales@wbcycles.com)

Or you can go to XOPRODOX they have the 4' complete forward control set up

That would be an expensive investment though with our proprietary controls.

I would have the seat modified or look at some of those off set Kyrakyn peg brackets.

I got set up with Accutronix last year so should be able to get a better deal on the controls for those of you who may be interested in changing up.

The Tribal Arms DO REDUCE clock by 7 degrees on the 08-09 Ridgeback though.

Could always scrape an inch or two out of the back of your seats.
Yes sir, I sent my seat to seatmaker and he took care of it for me. I think it was 1.5" off of the back and added some gel and still very comfortable.:2thumbs:

Thanks again Scott.
