2.4Kw Ultima starter?

Thank You stiffy and jimmy03 I just installed the Ultima 2.4 starter on my 02 Mastiff and the solenoid bolt did hit my trans also just like you described . If You hadn't given me the heads up it would have been a real pain and hard to find but I clearanced it and it works perfect. Can't hardly believe how easy it cranks over now!

Someone correct me here on our starters in the Big Dog bikes. On the 07 models anyway I am under the thought that we have a 2.4 kw unit in a 1.8 housing made by Spyke...
I have talked to them a couple of times on this and understand that our batteries are under rated for what we have...

No, you have a 1.4 not 2.4 you need to upgrade to a 2 kW starter. That’s the modern.
