I am thinking of upgrading my exhaust from stock. I have a 2003 BULLLDOG
that has the stock 2-1 . I really like the V-H Big Radius 2-1 , but cant really justify the $$. Does anyone know what the sound or gains might be?? :flag:

Try a search, there's been several threads on it. I've got one, looks great; sounds better mounted on my garage wall, but that's about all I want to say about it.

I have the V&H big radius 2 into 2 and they look great but they just don't sound right. Thinking about the Basanni 2 into 1 road rage for my 07 Bulldog. It's a different look but they sound great on my 2011 heritage and can only imagine how they will sound on the S&S motor.

I have the V&H Big Radius with Big City Thunder Baffles. Nice....deep.....LOUD!! My wife hears me from over a 1/4 mile away going through the gears. Tough to sneak home late at night though. Only problem is everybody has them on their bikes!!!

Thank you . I will do a search and see what I can find out. I am guessing the
guys that have responded have the bigger engine , I have the 107 . I actually sent an email to VH to see if it is even available for my bike. No response yet. The search continues!!

I don't think the V&H 2-1 pipe is still being made, when I last talked to V&H a couple of months ago they stated they were not in production, however they are several sets of the 2-2 pipe avialable. Bikers Dream in Atlanta may still have some, if you are interested give them a call.

As for as sound, they are many options on baffles to get the sound you like.

I believe most of the of the people will tell you that a 2-1 pipe will get better performance.

Mrwiseguy. I just slid the muffler off of the header and went to the auto parts store and bought a 3 inch auto turnout that was chrome. Slid it on. And yes 99% of the time you will need to tune the carb.

Does anyone who has the 2:1 big radius have issues dragging the pipe on right turns? I have 2:2 slash cut right now, and last night the front pipe broke off the front exhaust port as I was on the interstate. I am assuming it happened from dragging the bottom pipe a few times will riding.

Now I will be looking for a new pipe which will not drag when I let the dog eat on those right turns. Anyone have some solid ideas?

Gotta love the money pit... glad the ole lady is not as high maintenance as the dog!

No issues with the 2 into 1 dragging on my scoot. The end of the pipe is pretty far off the ground. Lets put it this way, I scrape my peg before anything else will scrape...:D

I was all ready to go with a Big Radius 2:1 pipe on my K9, but I called BDM Performance and they said they don't have any left.

They also told me Vance & Hines isn't making exhausts anymore for any Big Dogs except the Wolf model.

I checked the V&H website and sure enough, their "RSD Model" exhaust section is gone now!

Looks like our aftermarket exhaust selection just got a little smaller.

Mike, you can still put the V&H 2-1 pipe on your K9, it just requires a little more work. There are still sets for the Ridgeback that are still available, what is needed is a bracket for the K9 which you can still purchase from V&H. Once you have the pipes and the bracket all that is necessary is to relocate the attachment point on the pipes to match the bracket for the K9.

StlMikie and another friend helped me do mine, the only real issue was after we rewelded the attach point on the pipes there was some residual material on the inside of the pipe from the weld which prevented the baffle from going in easily. With a little thought I think you can prevent this from happening.
