I was up at Malabar Moe’s with Deb this evening and as we were leaving I saw an older Chopper pull in. I have seen it before but never caught the owner. I invited him over to the site and as we were talking he told me it was an 03 with over 180,000 miles on it!!! Said he did a non stop to Chicago one time 27 hours strait with nothing but Mountain Dew and Gas!!!:whoop:
Hope he shows up, I’ll try to get a picture next time!!:2thumbs:

I know he punched it out at least once, didnt have time to shoot the shit. I heard about this guy a few months ago from another dude checking my bike out. Oh we were on the Ultra tonight...

I dont think bbc would make it up..if that dude has 180K on the clock it must be the highest mileage bdm out there...
I'm not challenging BBC's integrity, I'm simply saying that a speedo or ego could be wrong. :D I'm also very jealous that someone would have time to put on 26,000 miles per year! Fuck!

I agree...almost TOO impressive!
I'd sure like to hear more about, and from, this 'sage'...how he maintained his bike, any problems along the way, etc, etc.
Surely the factory would like to know about this amazing feat as well, if they don't already.
We might all be able to learn something here to help us on our own journeys.

To Make a proper comparison, we need to wait two years and see how many miles Ray has on his 2005 Chopper. A lot can happen in two years.

Very doubtful if he will show up here, assuming that he did not BS BB. He would not have any time to get on-line with his constant riding, unless he is one of the Indian riders that textes with the feet up on the bar in the middle of New Delhi rush hour traffic!!!!

Another round please
I didn't think Ray would ever get owned by another rider. Thats is sick. Ray finally has a Idol. That is impressive. My hats off to both of those high mileage bikers. I am not the man they are when it comes to seat time.

Easy to do actually.
It is only about 71 miles a day and depending on where you live, work, commute etc; this is completely in the realm of possible.
Then toss in some decent trips and here ya go.

Proves once again these dogs were not born to be bar hoppers. Big Dogs Motorcycles love to go the distance and are very reliable when doing so.
