'16 K9 intro and maiden voyage

I had written a rather lengthy intro and maiden voyage story with the pics, but upon creating the thread the pics won the battle.

Long story short, Thanks BDM Matt and Chris at Fury Motorcycles. Bike is tight and only did a quick 50+ miles to get acquainted. Tranny is very tight and shifts need to be deliberate with a nice positive purchase. Brakes, well they work as intended and you'd better know how to use both simultaneously.

Ordered a solo seat, hence the blue painters tape on the rear fender in order to limit paint scarring/damage from the suction cups. 50mph seems to be the sweet spot for me while enjoying the scenery. 65-70mph (closed circuit for you lawyer types) took a bit more effort (due to my past experiences riding Harleys with windshields/fairings) but easy to get comfortable with time.

Looking forward to many riding miles and smiles. Enjoy the pics.

Effort at 65-70 mph??? I think any stock bike would be comfortable at 65-70 mph... Not my cup of tea...

I'm with ya on that one, when I ride I'm in no hurry to get anywhere, usually I'm 5-10 under the limit smellin the roses :moped:
Well, I didn't mean I don't do 65-70 at times. when on I-4 i do around 80 so I don't get run over but having to put effort into going 65-70 is not right. any stock bike should handle well at 65 - 70 mph... Hell, it was hard to keep Tapico under 75 on the back roads...
