16" Ape install

Need some advise.
I am sleeving some 16" Harley handlebars to use with my 2004 Big Dog Chopper controls.
I called my local Big Dog Dealer and he informed me that I could not order a longer Clutch cable. This does not sound correct to me.
Is the Clutch, throttle and front brake line proprietary to big dog or are they the same as utilized on Harleys?
Any help or advise is appreciated.

Everything is the same as a harley. You can get whatever size you need. The throttle cables need to be S&S cables though, or you will need the adapter cable guide for standard cables.

Thanks for the reply.
On the Throttle cables, there are two adapters on the throttle cables that I have now. Is that what your are referring to?

The short guide is standard for using s&s cables. The tall guide is used with standard cables.

Check to see which guide is on your carb. I've actually seen a few big dogs with the standard cable guide. The factory must have ran out of s&s cables occasionally.

You'll need to measure what you will need for throttle and idle cables I don't know what the difference would be but if you only need about +4/5 inches more than what you have now I have some in stock that will work for you.

Just measure the cable lengths you will need with the new handlebars and I'll try and help ya out.

Thanks. It looks like it has the tall guide but it is kinda hard to tell for sure. Th3infamous!, I will give you a call when I know the cable lengths I need.
I appreciate the responses all.
