hi to all.
ive been off this awesome site for the last 12-18 months due to opening a new biz.... BUT ...
i bought a new 2014 GPS W/INTEGRATED SPEAKERS (FLHXS) one month ago, looking for some confort for the wife...

I have put on it sissybar, luggage rack, a low profile badlander seat, V&H slip ons, V&H air filter, V&H true dual exhaust and the FP3 to remap the bike.

well, riding it for the first 600 miles it feels like it is sleeping !!!
no power and no looks as my ole K9 !!! NO LOUD PIPES !!!

I had an HD for 25 yrs and won't go back. Enjoy the big bike but keep the K-9 for fun trips

There is a reason why Harley touring bikes are sometimes called Geezer Glides. Cams and head work will start to wake it up.

Stripped down for solo riding. Rush True Dual headers, Harley Nightstick mufflers (relabeled Supertrapps with 14 disks), and a DynoJet Power Vision, it moves much better than stock. Still, about 150 pounds heavier and less horsepower and torque it can't run like the Mastiff,



With the Power Vision I can record data and use it to reflash the ECM. I am not using the tune that was initial load on the Power Vision. You may need to get your bike on a dyno and get a better tune.

Mine woke up a bit with true duals (got rid of the CAT) and a Power Commander, Mileage went to shit though...:roll:

Don't give up so easy Chili, I was ashamed to ride my 2012 CVO Streetglide until I changed the headers and added the power commander. Now, 21,000+ miles I am loving it. Also you might want to check on the Harley forum and see if there is any problems with the 2014 motors. Yes, you can hose down the harleys:)

I live at 6200 ft run 91 octane with 10 percent corn. I have the 96cu inch twin cam after my mods 2-1 v/h exhaust pc5 stock heads zippers 577 cams plus dyno tune lockup clutch my Harley will pull 95 hp 98 tork and still get 46mpg at Hiway speed. Jumping from my chop to the streetglide feel about the same to me. My opinion is dyno the bike first might be leaving some hp on the table I also installed the v/h throttle pack to get 1to1 ratio on the throttle this was a great mod. Can't really compare hd with the chop cuz gearing and weight between the two. I enjoy both of them but my street glide is woke up.

Update.
I went with some members recommendations to awake my harley.
V&H exhaust, V&H slip ons, V&H air filter and a V&H Fp3 Tuner on it... installed.


So I went with the cams.... DAMN!!! now we're talking!!!

Curtis from WSW hooked me up with S&S MR103 easy start cams, just plug and play and vouila!!!

I'm with you guys. I bumped mine up from a 96 to a 107, zero decked the heads added Tman 577 cams. She scoots now, but still no-where near what the Mastiff or Ridge can do.

One of the old ones.
I love my 2010 Street Glide and wifey likes it too. It has a big heated hammock seat and a red tour pac for serious roadwork....And does what it does pretty well, as long as you add pipes and a Power Commander.
But when you want some balls, it's the Flamed-Up Dog...and it is a great touring bike too...and gets way more attention.
If I had to give one up, I'd sure miss that Scarlet Harley.
