117 Upgrade !!

My 117 just got it's final tune-up !! A powerful 141 HP and 147 TQ. I had Mega-Flo do the heads ,deck the heads and jugs 10 thou (for use of MLS gaskets and increased comp), hone cylinders, and bore out carb with matching intake. I really didn't want the XXX carb for price (boring a lot cheaper and easier to tune) and horsepower difference would have been none. I had a S&S 640 cam installed...it's now 11.2 to 1 compression and starts easy !! Can’t wait for some nice weather…couple months away !! WHEW HEW !!!!!!

Replace that rear drive Belt With a 530 Chain & Sprockets dude ~your throwaway tire fund is gonna get depleted FAST replacing that flimsy belt

It has Rivera Primo clutch. Baker RSD 6 speed. Belt is 1 1/2 ' wide Panther. If that snaps it will most likely go to a chain !!

Kinda sounds like what i'm gonna do...pullin heads as soon as time permits and send to john sachs....let him do his magic....cool build you should put up the dyno sheet..love to see it when the power really kicks in...they say the 640 does great on the high side of rpms...

I need to learn how to do this work. Don't have a trustworthy indy in the area and this is more complicated than any engine work I have done before, but those results seem well worth it. Congrats

I would like to see the dyna sheet as well. The bke is still at JD's cycle...Dave called me to tell me what it made. I was happy !! He still has a couple things to do on it yet.
