Hey I’m new to this site but yes that is a nice ridgeback . I should know is sitting in my garage. I got it for a whole lot better price than he was selling it for. changing that rear tire oh yeah I couldn’t find anybody to do it in my area I wound up driving 97 miles away to have it done. It needed a few things when I got it like the rear tire had a busted cord. Also the mirrors look like they’ve never had the bugs cleaned off of them. Which was surprising as the rest the bike is in excellent shape. But I did find a place on eBay called shovelheadkickers that has a lot of the stuff for The big dogs. They give their phone number on eBay and if you call Donna she can pretty much get you anything you need. I’m hoping to find a 12” Sissy bar. Once I figure out how to post pictures on here and video I will upload some of what it sounds like.

Sorry about that been having problems with this iPad lately keeps shut off on me ever since I installed the update. Anyway the only place around here ( Waterloo Iowa ) that told me they could mount the tire was silver eagle Harley Davison shop. they wanted $150 bucks to do it and that’s if I took it off the bike so I thought what the heck I took it off took it out there and then they said they couldn’t do it the biggest one they could do was a 300. I took it to a place called Ken’s customs In Ankeny Iowa. He fought it for quite a while to get it to Bead up about 45 minutes. Then he balanced it And then he wasn’t happy with the shine on the rim which it look like glass to me so he breaks out the buffer and buffs it all out . Now that gentleman is service I would highly recommend him to anybody. It wound up being about an hour and a half total not including the drive up there and back And he only charged me $40 but I gave him $60 instead and assured him I would be back again. I would like to say I really like this site it has been a world of information for me. I have build a couple choppers in the past but I’m getting too old to do that anymore. So I thought I would buy one instead that was pretty much already done. I looked at a few of them on craigslist and eBay. Ironhorse/big bear/ A couple customs. But I am glad that I picked the big dog as I couldn’t be happier. The only problem is I’ve got to watch out for the bugs when I’m driving because I can’t seem to get the smile off my face LOL. The previous owner said he had it serviced last spring so I figured it needed it again this year and did the Engine oil change on it 3 quarts of spectro heavy duty platinum 20 W 50 full synthetic . I also did a gear lube change for the transmission also spectro platinum six speed full synthetic and I did a Primary oil change also spectro premium primary oil. I thought about going with Castrol oil‘s which I use in my Truck and my wife’s car But I’ve always used Spectro in my bikes and had good luck with it.
