09 mastiff fuel leak

I have a 09 mastiff and it leaks gas from the intake if it sits for a few days. Once you run it for a bit, it stops. I want to fix it because leaking gas is never a good thing.... Any ideas on what is causing this?

Are you making sure that you are turning the fuel petcock to the OFF position? My '09 Ridgeback with a half - full tank of fuel will puke some fuel out of the overflow if I accidentally leave it on. I have never seen any fuel leak from the intake though. Less than half a tank, and I am guessing that there is not enough pressure to bypass the needle jet. If I set it to OFF, I have not seen any fuel leakage...

agree

(by the way, you might get better response if you go ahead and do an intro. tell us about yourself, your dog, your riding history, maybe post some pics of your dog, your OL, your girlfriend. you know, the stuff perverts would be interested in. :D:D:D:roll::roll::roll::cheers:)

It looks like it is coming from the housing where the fuel line goes into. i dont see a shut off. Its fuel injected but i can emagine it doesnt have one..

Are you sure it's not coming from your fuel cap and running down the tank? My 08 Mastiff use to do that until I bought a new fuel cap from Jake. The cap stopped that from happening. Mine did it when the tank was full and the scoot was resting on the kick stand..

Check the fuel line coming from the tank. Mine dried out and cracked last year. Sitting while off didn't leak but once the fuel pump started pushing gas through it....it leaked.
