Ok let me try and explain this.
Don't you put a bid in for the over and then put a bid in for your max bid so if someone puts a bid in over you eBay will bid for you up to your max bid?

That’s why I was confused, the max bid was only 11,100 or it would have climbed to another max bid if there was one.
Now who’s on 3rd

You don't pay what you bid if your the highest bidder, you pay what the person below you bid. In other words if you bid 11k, and the new min bid is 11,100..then I come along and bid 12k. If no one else bid on it then I will win auction for 11,100
