I have tried to search the threads with no luck on finding what I am looking for. When I got back from my trip to Tennessee I noticed that my horn was hanging loose below the seat. I am assuming the bolt just fell out from 2000 miles of vibrations. I was wondering if anyone can send a picture of how the horn is bolted on on the pitbull. I appreciate your help.

Thanks

Not Home to show you a picture, But, it's a 4 Inch metal band about 1.5 Inches wide by 1/16th Thick, that Bolts infront of the battery box but hehind the plastic side covers if that helps you.

I would still like to see a pic of it on a pitbull because I know that it was mounted differently before it fell off. It was mounted on the left side underneath the plastic covers before but I didnt know which tab it went on. If any one has pics it is greatly appreciated.

trying to get a pic for you but it's tight - need to wait till my joint chiefs of staff is back to get ahold of the smaller camera (mid day today). As above, the band is bolted via 1/2" bolt (head size) est. 1/4" thread with overall length approx 3/4 inch. It thread into a nut on a bracket welded out from the metal band across the battery box. ie. the bolt point towards the motor. Hope that helps. stay tuned for pics

Best thing to do with that horn is toss it in the circular file !!!

But....If the only thing that came loose after 2000 miles on that rigid is the horn i would say you didn't do too bad.

So i went out today and took the side panels off. It looks like the horn bracket/tab snapped off which has caused it to leave a very big scratch in the bottom back fender. The question is do you think BD is responsible for fixing this as it is still under warranty. Will they repaint the fender or will they try to say that was my fault for not catching it as soon as it happened. any feedback is appreciated.

I wish I had more money.
Tell them it just happened. On the way to their shop to buy some merchandise. That would butter them up a little.
