'08 K9 just shuts off

I've had my '08 K9 for 3 years now since I bought it new. Just last summer it started dying (while riding). This year it has progressively gotten worse. It just shuts off - no coughing, spitting, sputtering, etc. just like if you were to reach down and turn the key off. It dies at any given time - hot, cold, accelerating, cruising or just sitting at an idle. Have pretty well eliminated any gas related issues. It has always started right back up, but lately I have to crank it a few times. I really believe this is an electrical problem.
does anyone have any ideas? It's getting worse by the day.

could just be the key switch - when its running, wiggle the key around a bit and see if it shuts off

happened to me quite often. it wound up being a gas cap that didn't vent properly. Take it off and blow thru it to see !!!

I've already removed the vent valve from the cap and had a vent line added to the bottom right side of my tank, so the tank is venting always. That didn't help, but thank you for your input.

That's probably where the problem is, or somewhere close, but I've got no smarts when it comes to electrical stuff. I live in Wichita, Kansas and Big Dog is now gone/closed for good - no service department - nothing. Supposedly there's going to be a parts store someday, but I'll believe that when I see it.

Definitely electrical!!! I automatically think about how in the 80's model GM vehicles used to do that CONSTANTLY it was always an ignition module. I would first check coil conections, and definitely get a wiring diagram, and follow the wiring from the coil to all grounding positions and so on.
