07 oil problem

I just recieved my 07 pitbull have less then 200 miles on it wham oil light comming on at idel, called dealer & installed a gauge about 0-5psi & hot idel, called dealer thay say check oil tank return line found line flat in radius, dealer ordered new line. I'm not sure this is the problem, any one think this is true, can a return oil line affect oil pressure

normal if light comes on its the sender, ive got a 07 k9, and at 4 lbs at the tappit filter no light!
dont see the hose being a problum

well it seems to be worse light stays on longer now, changed oil & 225 miles helped till it got hot agin, but engine dosent click or rattle any more than before it started, i mean my harley is quiter, deale said these engines are a little more noiser, engine sounds fine but this concerns me because i had a issue with mt harley had to replace complete oiling system, cams, cam plate, chains, ect.. this bike onlt has 225 miles harley had 40000

no i removed the sender & install tempory gauge, when bike was purchased i ordered permenant unit to be mounted on bike all the time but it hasn't came it yet since the harley oil problem i try to keep a close eye on oil pressure

0 pounds of oil pressure is not normal. Your damn right a return line can cause problems. Get it replaced and get some oil pressure at idle.

i don't care what anyone says... you should not have an oil pressure light on while the bike is running!

Eric, you don't have many miles on your scoot but I had an issue with my bike about 3 months after purchasing it. My oil light would come on and be sparatic! This was back in Dec 05 and ended up putting an oil pressure gauge on it to ensure I had oil pressure. Turned out to be a grounded wire under the tank. Fixed it and haven't had a problem since.
But with only 200 miles on the bike don't think you would have a worn wire already but just in case it's the orange wire under the tank.
