There some bikes who have had problems, the majority have not. No one gets on the forum to state their EHC is fine. 18,000 mi and four years on mine. A lot of problems get blame on the EHC when it is actually some thing else, poor maintenance, abuse, etc.

I was actually just reading an old post about 07 EHC....apparently reduced to a 1.5% failure rate compared to that of 26% on the 05-06.

Don't know the truth to it, take it with a grain of salt. I have no personal experience, my 04EHC crapped out on me and the 07 I bought the previous owner replaced it. I think it was probably fine but he did always wash the dog with hose and water
