'07 K-9 Value?

I'd like some opinions here.

Just found a 2007 K-9 with about 49,000 miles on it.

Starts right up, everything works, and the paint and billet are polishable.

The battery is less than a year old otherwise it appears to be all stock.

So the question is... what would you pay for something like that?

I'm kind of wondering if the guy wasn't looking at the trip odometer and that mileage is really 4900.0.

It was first registered 03/2007 and hasn't been ridden since at least the beginning of December '08 so all the miles would have been put on it 21 months. Broken down a little further that would mean it was ridden about 80 miles every day, 7 days a week, come hell or high water since the day it was first registered. Doing the math it certainly doesn't seem like someone COULD have ridden the K-9 that many miles!!!

I met a motorcycle cop once that told me he rides about 35K a year although that's in Pittsburgh, PA. but still....

I don't know what you'd pay, but I bought an 07 K9 last summer for a little over 18 with 1300 miles on it, and I've seen since even better deals....so damn near 50k on it I'd say prolly 15-16K....

That's the best price on a k9 I've ever heard of. You are lucky.
I was just in a dealer in Scottsdale this weekend and they had 2 used K9's on the floor at 29K.
I thought it was funny they were asking that much.

I would guess with almost 50k the bike is worth 15k at best if there are 07's easily bought at 18k almost new

Of Ebay at all things.....buy it now. I've seen others with nicer mods go for less... It's the market.

Thanks for all the help gentleman! I should have waited until this morning to ask though.

Turns out it was a guy selling for another guy. I talked to him this morning and asked him to look at the mileage again and this time turn on the key, hold the little black button for several seconds and then tell me what he sees. Lo and behold the "49,000" disappeared and turned into a ".0"!!!! After pressing the button again it said 7,500. Guess someone hadn't reset the trip odometer for a while...

At least now I know what I'm looking at.

I think i would buy it for that price, i have been looking at the prices on bikes the last month and there is always good deals.When i find what i want and get the BEST deal ANYONE has ever had i'm not going to keep an eye out on prices cause when i do the next day someone else will have a better deal, and so on. and son, and so on :roll: :roll: :roll: GOOD LUCK !!!
