06 Mastiff Rear tire

Quick question before I order these tires. I currently have an 06 Mastiff with a 250 on the rear. Short and simple can I put a 260 on the rear of this bike as Metzler only makes a 240 and a 260!!! WTF huh? With the 250 I only have about a 1/2" between the belt and the tire.. Really liked the way these tires felt on another bike.. Thanks in advance..

I thought the Metzler tires were wider....and wouldnt fit. Not sure though. Or was it the Dunlap??

Avon Cobra 250 Inflated Width - 9.9"
Metzeler 240 Inflated Width - 9.4"
Metzeler 260 Inflated Width = 10.5"

if you have .50 between the belt and the 250 and there is .60 difference between the 250 and the 260, half of that is .30 so you should still have .20 between the 260 and the belt, which is about the same gap between the 300 and the belt on the K9. just thinkin' out loud.

Which tire did you end up getting and is it working out?

The math works, and the tire should fit.

He is off on the Dunlop 240 the info is giving is actually for the 250 tire

Inflated Width is (9.29″) for the 240 and 10.02" for the 250.

I have been through this a million times trying to figure my next tire

I have a mutt with the original 250 avon on a 8.5" rim. The actual tire width is 9.5". I think the avon cobras are wider.
