'06 Mastiff rear rotor swap

Anyone know a good reason why I shouldn’t put a solid rear brake rotor on my ’06 Mastiff. I had assumed I had a floating rotor because I had a fixed caliper. When I removed the rear wheel recently, I discovered I have a floating caliper (or at least semi-floating). Which may be why my rotor buttons are in such bad shape. I don’t want to replace the rotor buttons and rotor if it’s just going to get messed up again.

I read that another member here had a Harley rotor fitted to his Dog. I think he had the hole in the center bored out.

I have a 2006 Mastiff that I replaced the stock wheels. The new wheels came with solid rotors, I still use the same stock calipers and have not had any problems. In fact the bike stops on a dime and gives you nice cents change
