Nice bunch of bikes. Funny how people are so different. That bike would be on my lift and wouldn’t leave the middle of my garage until it was running & ready to ride. The chrome can be redone as can be afforded obviously but getting it running and road ready is another story… lots of things involved in that. Tires/fluids/gasoline/filters,ect. 2years is a long time to be sitting idle… makes my very sad.
You and me both, but mine sat for almost five years, I just redid everything last year, paint, jugs, new piston rings, all that, rode about 100 miles and my trans went sideways on me and it’s been sitting since, so my goal is working the next 2 weeks to get em both up and going!

I started a business in 2020 and it took all my free time away to where I was working about 80-90 hrs a week so play time wasn’t in the cards so my bike sat. Things got more easier to handle and delegate as time went on so I finally dug into her and did a complete bring her back to life and she was so beautiful and then the trans, the one thing I didn’t touch because I never had issues decided to jump sideways on me and it just deterred me. So here it is almost a year later and I’m finally gonna fix that.

Yeah man things happen…. Reminds me of a mechanic joke from back in the day. The longer it sits, the worse it gets. I have OCD so I fixate on a problem until it’s resolved. Then on to the next dilemma! Lol! :oldhardlaugh:

The big grandpa style bike I just traded for a truck I had sitting around and the 25’ nightwear is the wife’s, she still only has about 20 miles on it and we have had it for almost two months lol

So do I, but I just put it to the side until I know I have the time to actually address it because if I don’t I’ll be dreaming about it til it’s done

I used to be huge on this community, daily and all that, not gonna lie, them changing the platform really deterred me and then just life. Went to 2 of he big dog meets in Kansas and that was a really good time, met a lot of great people. So I’m slowly trying to get back in the swing of things. I am die hard big dog so much I have it tatted!!! And I don’t wanna see these things just die.

I have 3 BigDogs and a Texas Chopper that I spend almost every spare moment working on or keeping shined & clean. It’s a great task but I enjoy doing it. All our kids are grown and out on their own. So just me/momma/ the boys (sherman& grant) and the choppers. I guess it’s the perk to being in your’60s. IMG_8905.jpeg

Nice, vintage chopper, K9, looks like a Texas chopper, can’t tell from the pic, but nice collection. Nah, my kids are all still kids and live with me, 12,14,15, so I spend a lot of my spare time with them, but we have acres beyond acres that we play on with our out door toys, we have 5 quads, 2 dirt bikes, 2 go karts and a side by side so we spend a lot of our spare time on them.

Yeah. But in that 2years look at what has taken place to the bike… omg so much can go wrong with a motorcycle just sitting idle that long. You will literally have to go through the entire bike….
Hopefully it won’t be too bad
Well I just took her for a test ride and she rode great, clutch needs adjustment and having no suspension sucks, I was rubbing frame on turns… idk how to use it and he said it works when it wants to… so idk

I mean it is nothing compared to my bike but my engine has a ton of work done to it, but it feels just like my gutless wonder did when I got it so that’s good, tells me it’s running good, had to adjust the carb a bit and that’s about it
