Wash it out good with warn soapy water, let dry, then spray light but, good liberal coverage of K&N lubricant spray film on filter. Good to Go Then! :2thumbs:

Lets just say I drenched it because I had to use a towel to wipe off all the excess. That has to be it because it did not do this the day before I did the K&N. I'm a knucklehead!

Oh yeah, filter oil is not one of those things where "if some is good, more is betta!"

If you have the time just let it sit in the sun upright and let it drain out. Then clean it up and install it. I've over-filled/sprayed mine before but never had issues with it stalling. In the rain it will bog/stall till I open up the throttle but that's about it. Different in the snow when it froze then bogged!

But I would just set it out in the sun and let it drain out some.

Yes,
let it sit and allow the excess oil to oooze out and you should be good to go.

as for your carb, you could always use some carb cleaner and clean up your Super G really good.

I always clean and oil mine last thing then let it sit overnight before I put it back on.
