05 Ridegback Gas Cap size n threads

I am looking to see if i can get the Willie GView attachment 11918 Skull for my 05 Ridgeback, but bought one from J&P Cycle, but the thread part was way to big.

What do i search and what size do i look for ?

the cap would probably fit if you took out the paint-saver.

No, However you have to be gentle removing the paint saver. Some have had luck and they came out easy others needed to get their tank repainted afterwards. If you did a poll on the forum it would probably be 50/50 on removing without any damage....

this is true. what you have under the paint saver is standard harley threads. the paintsaver is BDM proprietary.

Ok, the paint saver came out easy....How do i get rid of the reminence from old dried up seal, rubber,etc that fell into tank ?

And how big is this bung, after removing paint saver ? The Willie G Skull is a 1'' 5/8 size thread
