I just bought my 05 pitbull and put about 20 miles a day the past few days. My lower back is killin me. I'm lookin for an answer to the problem.:bang: I checked a website called chopper shox and they have the coil covered shocks that could be mounted under the seat. I know the newer pitbulls have that same type of setup. Any other suggestions or has anyone ever done that to their pitbull or ridgeback already? Thanks

Just keep on riding, you WILL get used to it. I am in my early sixties, and ride the heck out of my 03 Pit Bull. And don't go with the "lower tire pressure" crowd. I keep mine at the factory recommended tire pressure. I like my 03 Pit Bull so much, I am looking for another ridgid, to park next to it. Best of luck.

The rigid is not for everyone ........ If you have a bad back, this sure in the heck won't help. What is your height/weight if you don't mind me asking. My experience has shown me that the larger riders take more of a beating on the rigids than smaller riders like myself. Just my observation from larger guys that have rode my bike. How is your seat? You may want to look into a gel seat or have a custom seat made up. There are some great custom seat fabricators on this sight that you may want to look into for a first step. By the way .... if it's too much to bear I am in the market for an 05 Pit ..... Just sayin! Good luck!

You'll get used to the pain.:lol::lol:

Send a pm to Seatmaker. Tell him you need some gel.

Chopper Shox don't fit well on the 08' Pittbull. You would have to modify the seat due to the shorter spring height. I put the lighter springs on and love the feel now. The rigidaire system is incredible, but expensive.
Sounds like you need a soft tail.

you can get some air bags like under truck seats and do your own for cheap
