05 BullDog runs great then quits

I went for a ride yesterday. I ran 55-60 for about 15 miles with no problem. However when I turned off the highway and rode about a mile about 30 mph the bike started popping and eventually died. Started back up and ran a few minutes and started popping and died again. Repeated a few more times with the same situation. I had to trailer it back home. I'm running a 32 and 78 on the jets. Any suggestions about the possible problem would be appreciated.

Mine did the same and it was the gas tank vent. To confirm this.Loosen the gas cap to allow air to enter the tank as you run it. If that is the problem remove the center piece in the cap. I think the vent parts swell as a result of the alcohol in the fuel. The forum saved my ass. I never would have found it.

Yep, mine did the same thing...either that, or you've been riding with Ray and you're out of gas!

Thanks for the suggestions drained tank and found water. Back to normal!
