04 Ridgeback rear tire choices /options.

Hello, im new here and did do a few searches and seen some old posts. skipped to here in hopes there is recent knowledge on where can purchase a 250 40 18 for my 04 Ridgeback?

Seen a post or two while using search feature here. I'm hoping to just stay with the 250 and not have to sand sidewalls or order from overseas if possible. Might not be so im open to ideas and suggestions.

My current tire is 240 40 18 Venon R.

The Avons are a little hard to find right now. You can run a 240/40/18. The difference is barely noticeable. There are many more companies that produce that size, so you may have a little more luck finding one.

Ive been running the Shinko 240 on both
the Pitbull And the Chopper. Other than milage they a great shoe. And they a bit cheaper too.

Replaced a Cobra that dry rotted at 400 miles and 5 months time with a Shinko and so far it’s been a good tire. Rides well and much cheaper.

Shinko's on two out of 3 bikes.
02 FLHT 2 Shinko 1yr on them.
03 BD Chopper 2 Shinko (240) rear.
Back about 2.5yrs they didn't make a 250. May still not.
04 BD Bulldog front will soon be a Shinko.

Haven't had any issues

Try Chaparral Motorsports. They have a few choices in that rear tire size I believe. Their shipping is usually incredibly fast. I use them almost exclusively for tire purchases. The DOT dates are typically very current.

Alot of people think or assume Shinko's are made in China. From what I've read they are made in South Korea. by a Japanese company.
