i just got an 04 pitbull a few weeks ago. the bike will not crank without a battery jumper hooked to battery. I just put new battery in it last night and cranked good first time but tried to start few hours later had to hook jumper up for few mins before would crank. hit the start button and the starter hits once then kicks out then u got to do the whole start procedure over again. whats the best way to do away with all that ehc and other module and still keep stock looking bike. thanks

Details?

How have you concluded it's the EHC? What exactly does it do? Cranks but doesn't start? Starts but dies, etc. You'll get some great advice here, but you need to throw out a few more details. A Search will give you lots of info about the EHC. I'd start there.

i hit the start button and the starter turns motor over about one time then kicks out. but if u leave battery jumper on battery it will usually fire right up. voltage is good on battery. i checked ground wires all seems good. i am taking it to mechanic tom. got to be ready for bike week. thanks for help

Sounds like you may have a connection issue somewhere. Check ALL connections to the battery and make sure they are tight. Also check the wires on the starter itself. Pull the rubbber boot on the starter back to make sure you don't have a corroded terminal connection. You need to have a battery with at least 310+ CCA as well.
