107 S&S Starter Just clicks when i use the start button? It fires right up if i use the slam button on the starter. The starter is only 2 years old. Any Ideas? Thanks
Mike says the thing starts with the slam button, but not with the start switch. I'm leaning towards a dirty or bad solenoid contact or "pull in" coil. Mine did the same thing and it was a broken wire inside the solenoid. Re-soldered it and no trouble since ( thank you again Mr.Wright)if the starter just clicks:
1. Remove the spark plug.
2. Turn on the fifth gear transmission.
3. Turn the rear wheel.
everything is fine? motor rotates? If everything is OK, then check the battery level, check the charge relay. Then write. Without this it is impossible to understand the reason.

all clean..bike started up fine when i left today then sat an hour now just hear it clickCheck inside the solenoid? contacts clean??![]()

Wild Stead Worxi got it from oh what's the guy that sells bigdog starters and other things What's his company?..my mind went blank..it's a good starter otherwise
This diagnostic procedure for the starter, if it does not rotate the motor.i'll try that..

ok ty i will try thatThis diagnostic procedure for the starter, if it does not rotate the motor.
If any oil or a large amount of fuel into the cylinder, the starter engine can not rotate. It lacks power. If you unscrew the spark plugs, the starter will crank the engine. This will help you understand what the problem is. In the starter or motor. Spin of the wheel is necessary in order to avoid damage if improperly adjusted by the valve mechanism.
So I was right. Initially, you wrote "107 S & S Starter Just clicks when i use the start button?" Accordingly, all that I have said be done to diagnose. I was not mistaken. But I do not insist on anything. The case is yours. Perhaps I made a mistake with the translation.![]()
