04 EHC reset????

Anyone know if there is a reset button for my 04 EHC? I have ignition/speedo power only but nothing going anywhere else on the bike...No lights coming on the EHC led's. thanks..

oh you can disconnect the ehc should reset it.

yes, I have spent several days tearing the wiring apart, checking the leads and connections, new battery, all grounds secure and clean. I just read a post where a guy said he had ehc problems and used a small screwdriver to push the reset in... I am here in the Phillipines and tech support and proper mechanics are hard to find.

doyou have the little box on the fender.what color is your ehc

there is power coming out of 8 of the 11 red wires from the EHC. (when key on) but NO lights come on the EHC itself.

ehc is black, made by Positronic industries, there also is a 2"x3" alunimum box above it with 2 leads coming off it and 1 red led light on. it has a sword and a heart inscribed on it. (thunderheart?) the red led does not come on...Poer to the thunder heart is supplies from the battery

i have never heard of a reset button on the ehc.what color ehc

the 30 amp fuse is fine, and i have found no other fuses or fusable links that may have failed.. this bike has worked well for months here with no problems,

the black ehc is the original i believe,mine has been replaced and its a yellowish gold,do you have the other little box about 1/2 inch square

only the ehc and the 2"x#' (thunderheart?) above it. the ehc and thunderheart are wired together with 2 4 pin plugs the power coming from the battery to the Thunderheart

the 30 amp fuse is prolly taking the place of the circut breaker(relay).sorry bro I hope you find the trouble.the original ehc's were junk.

thanks for you input and suggestions. I am going home now to spend another few hours looking around before I decide to find a dealer and have an ehc and the thunderheart shipped here. I had hoped to find a solution but I am exhausted and frustrated,lol. again....many thanks

ehc's are on back order,if you think its your ehc dont buy another problem,buy the wire plus kit and ride trouble free.wire plus does away with the ehc.your thunder heart is your ignition module wont cause no power to your handle bars.just sayn what i would do and many others have done.contact jake

I have an 04 with 10K miles on it, the EHC finally went out and luckily it was close to home. the 3 miles i held onto the door pillar of the old lady's ride was enough for me... I just installed the WP kit from Jake last week. It was gravy but time consuming and tedious, just follow the instructions and you won't have a problem. I went the xtra mile and I used solder after crimping. Took a little longer but was worth it in my opinion. I also strayed from the instructions a bit and cut every wire off of the 50 pin EHC connector 1 by 1 and labeled it with the pin number so I could get rid of the 50 pin connector. Found that was easier to get all of the wires out of the way. Decided to go with the 6000K HID kit too while I was tearing into it. Bike runs like a champ, starts immediately, doesn't die while rinding, lights don't do weird shit etc... WP from Jake is my suggestion and get rid of that EHC (headlight is cool too).
