04 Chopper trans drain bolt

NEED HELP: I own a 04 Chopper 117 DT. When I went to drain the Trans, I saw I can not get to the drain bolt due to a shock is in the way. I can't even get any type of wrench up in there. The drain hole is directly above a shock. Do I have to remove a shock just to drain the tranny? HELP!

"raywood" would probably be the best one to get this info from. he has an '05 chopper and should be the same.

The drain plug should be on the side of the trans. It's the allen in the middle.
