04 Chopper, brake pads different front and rear?

A buddy just picked up front and rear pads for his 04 chopper. The parts guy at the dealer told him that the front and rear pads were different, the front pads are thicker? This is bullshit right? We have the same caliper and rotors front and rear!

Just replaced mine on the 04 Mastiff, NO DIFFERENCE THERE!.

They gave him two different pads. EBC FA 216 3 and Drag Specialties Sintered 325882. He says one pad is thicker than the other. Dealer told him thicker pad goes on the front.

Front & Rear pads are the same on my 03

I just spoke with my friend, the thicker pad doesn't even fit into the caliper. Dealer must have given him whatever he had there in stock.
