I removed the rear wheel to replace wheel bearings and while I am that far in it I am wanting to replace the drive belt. I am wondering what I am in for when removing the front housing?

Do you have to remove the swingarm to get the belt off?

Your belt is probably fine and will last many more years. Just a thought. They generally don’t wear out. Bearing , brakes, tires. Those three for sure while its off.

Sure looks like you would have to remove the entire swingarm to change the belt from your photo. Just my point of view. If you do that you may as well replace those swingarm bushings as well. They do go bad ask me how I know. Best of luck getting it done.

I replied without looking at it right and yes I have to remove the center to change the belt. I am thinking about getting the belt changed and the brakes. Might look at selling it

Just my silly opinion but from the pic you posted, the belt looks like new. These kevlar belts are freaking tough. Unless the belt is really worn (square lobes) or all cut up, I'd leave it be. Old saying comes to mind, if it aint broke dont fix it. My 2 cents.

Now that’s funny! I don’t care who you are! Good call if it isn’t necessary like HMAN said. There’s alot of work involved in that particular project. Of course this is a LSD bike but you get the picture.
