what transmission is in an 2004 bulldog? doesnt look like a baker...clutch basket is a rivera/primo...need to remove the basket so the 10.00 question is...is the clutch nut right or left thread? where can my buddy get a detailed manual for an 04...thanks.

6 speed Baker,not really sure bout the nut.

OEM Tranny was a Baker. Heard of at least one that was a Jims Case with Baker Guts. Mine wax a Baker. Nut is left-handed.

Not sure on the OEM clutch. HD stock is 90-110 INCH-lbs. Primo open primary is 30 INCH-lbs.

90-110 sounds about right...as said before it's left hand threaded.

ok...been doing some internet surfing and rivera/primo says to run the 4 bolts down till they bottom out...no talk of torque numbers...does bottom out mean till they touch?

Is it a primo clutch pack? If so than run with what they say -- bottom out is when they touch the mating surface. Like I said above, on my primo it's 30 INCH-lbs...that ain't much at all.

Not to be too much of a pain, but you can't torque a fastenter unless mating surfaces are in contact.
