hey guys, the speedo on my 04 chopper is shot, it must have leaked water on the previous owner. it didn't work when I got the bike. another guy in town has an 06 ridgeback, and he has the factory speedo that's in good shape. just wondering if it will fit my bike? would it still read the speed correctly? and also is there a way to change the mileage on his speedo? my bike has 6k on it, and his speedo only has 2k on it. thanks for any help guys!

well, both bikes are definitely carbureted. would it still read correctly due to the different tire size? and are the factory speedos from autometer? thanks for the help guys

Tire width is different but the circumference is the same therefore speed should be spot on.

You could try calling autometer but I wouldn't get my hopes up they will change the mileage for you.

Well, you can adjust the speedo. I think it was by holding reset button for a while, ride 2 miles and push button again. Voila, just measure the 2 miles accurate and your speedo is spot on. There has to be a thread on it here somewhere.
