HELP!!! Noticed a little noise from primary, now the bike wont shift into second gear. If the bike is not running I can shift throught the gears no problem. When bike is running I can shift from nutrual to first no problem. It wont shift from first to second gear unless I slow way down.
Thanks. Any ideas???

Hello Petes....

I see this is your first post...out of courtesy to the forum please take the time to do a quick introduction...

In regards to your problem I would remove the outer primary cover and do a quick inspection of the clutch hub nut ... there known to come loose....Post a picture of that 2003 pitbull im kind of partial to em just recently sold mine

Thanks, I will do that. Can I check by removing just the derby cover or do I need to pull the whole thing? Also my service manual says 32 oz. I am running spectro heavy duty. I am working on the pics. Thanks again

I would pull the whole primary cover.... your going to have to remove the clutch plates to access the clutch hub nut...clutch hub nut is a reverse thread....I ran Rev-Tec primary fluid in my Pitbull worked great no slipping
