I’m looking at an 03 chopper 2500 miles it really looks brand new. I have an 05 chopper just replaced ehc with wsw ehc really easy install. my question is the 03 has a stock EHC what all has to be done to change it to a wsw ehc. It will have to eventually be changed. Not familiar with 03 wiring or ehc on a 03

The 03's has good EHC's. There are two here in this town, still running the originals. The only problem they had was the plastic box that holds them. You need to keep a zip tie around it, so the tabs on the ends, hold in the box, and keeps the EHC suspended. The pressure from you sitting on the seat, would push down on the wires on the bottom side, and short out.

I ran the original EHC on my 2003 until two seasons ago. The turn signals finally stopped working. First the automatic flasher on the left turn signal stopped turning off. Then no turn signals. I did the Thunderhart conversion from Curtis at WS.

I am new to the Big Dog scene. My 03 Boxer has running lights, head light, right turn signal, and license plate light. No left turn signal or brake lights. The bike will start and run down the road no problem but my lights have issues. Is this an EHC problem, if so what EHC is best to get and which is the best cost?

The first thing we need to check, because on the 03-04's the wires run down the inside of the fender. It is a common problem for the tire to rub through the wires at the rear of the fender, where it turn to go through to the lights. Check this first, then get back with us.

The back blinkers are the tail lights in case you were expecting a separate tail light but I would start tracing wires... as for the EHC call Curtis at Wild Steed Worx go to his web site he has one that you just unplug your old one and plug in your new one I believe it will cost about $475 I bought a voltage regulator with mine so it was a little more he has most everything you need to keep your boxer on the road if not there are a couple of other vendors on here that will help you out go to the swap meet an/or general CDAF659A-149A-4D30-B012-1F49CFE15756.pngportion of this forum and just ask

Wires under fender look fine

Check to see if you have voltage at the light, and the light is just bad. The trace the wires back to make sure there isn't a broke wire at any of the connections. Pull the plugs apart and tug on the pins and wiggle the wires in them. We want to make sure the problem isn't elsewhere before we point our fingers at the EHC. Also make sure your EHC is in the holder properly, with the side tangs supported in the holder box. There was a recall many many years ago on this. If the EHC mashed down, it will pinch the connections and cause problems. Put a zip tie around the box to hold it together.
