well its funny you mention Dakota Digital, my service center I use told me about Dakota digital. They make the replacement speedos for the stock Ironhorse speedos . I emailed them about Big Dogs and this was there response.

Actually all of our gauges are universal gauges which mean that they
will work on any bike with a factory electronic speedometer. If the bike
does not have a stock electronic speedometer we should be able to get
something to work. With this said we do have people installing our
products onto their Big Dog bikes. Please see our website

I would pm Ohmster or Night Train and ask about the voltage. Been a long time since I had my 03 Mastiff but the 05 and newer have a low voltage system (5v) so this may limit what you can put in unless you rewire the bike.
Also know that Dakota Digital has as many if not more problems with speedo's as Autometer does.

the needle will drop below 0 when booting up and never gets above 10mph, had it checked at the shop and they said the pick up was ok, bike only has 2500 mi.looked at the schematics and looks like it should be straight forward to wire in the dakota, big dog said the white face speedos for the 03 were not even available anymore so an aftermarket unit is the way to go, I realize it not a plug and play but I am pretty handy with a soldering iron. I just was wondering if anyone had already installed one and what the issues were, the 03 is still a 12v system is it not?? but going to ride to Laughlin without the speedo anyway just got to watch those AZ highway patrol>>>>
