03 Chopper: spark and fuel, no start.

I do have the compression releases on mine Tom, good call, but I've checked them a couple times. Hopefully I can get to the comp test today and rule that out. It seems like a timing issue, it doesn't even sputter, just crank over and over.

If it is a 107 take the cover off the cam housing on the right side and see if the smoke got left out of something.

I could pull fuel out of the main, backfire at least with that much fuel going in you'd think. However, 'bad gas' is more I pull the cap, smell the gas, and this aroma of stale is stuck in the throat. Fire-able gas has no after taste, where the whiff is if I open the gas cap at the car first and smell freshit. So that fresh hit, shit, I couldn't light this bike is my piss is more volatile!

WHooHoo! She finally fired up yesterday eve! I remembered that I had a new set of plugs in my tool chest so I swapped them out two days ago and I got it to bite a couple of times. I let it sit a couple days and let the new batt charge fully and it fired up. Even though I had good strong spark and good color on the spark, it wasn't good enough. Glad it was cheap:D except the battery, went with a lithium. Thanks to everyone for all the advise, happy ridin'!

only problem with that is the fact that the lithium battery needs a different kind of charging system. there are threads on here that talk a lot more than i know when it comes to the lithium ion battery and the dogs. something about lithium IRON being a better match than the lithium ION. have no idea what the differences are.
have heard in the past that the ion battery overheats and can cause fires.

The one I got is lithium iron, charges the same you just can't leave it on the charger. Way lighter than a regular battery. Less overheating than the ion. We'll see if there is any difference other than the weight.

So please do tell???? Did you ever get your bike running? And if so what was the problem? I'm sure we would all like to know if it was the spark plug wires or not... lol.
