Nope, 2004 was the first yr for them. I ride a 2003 chopper and I had to install my electric compression releases. The heads for the 2003 were already tapped for them though.

That is correct. Look in the hole on top of the rocker boxes. The clear plastic thing. Press down and you can feel the releases bouncing manually. You have the same thing I installed on my bike 5 yrs ago. Electric compression releases.
