I bought this a couple weeks ago -
The bike had less than 1000 miles on it. The 2nd time I took it out on the road, the bike started running and wouldn't stop, even though I hit the kill switch and turned off the key.
Several wires burned under the seat, and the battery posts melted. Interestingly, the main fuse didn't blow. So now I have a few questions for those in the know:
1. Where can I get replacement wires? This bike has, conveniently, a segmented wiring harness. The wire segment I need has a part number, but my e-mail to BDog went unanswered (which really pisses me off).
2. I was told, among other things, that the starter may have shorted out. When I went to a local shop to inquire about ordering parts, he told me that taking the starter out on that motor was a major job that required removing the clutch, among other things. Is this true?
3. Has anyone else had a problem like this??
