03 Big Dog chopper starter

Does anyone know of a GOOD supplier?? I need at least 1.8kw BUT I want everything from the same
place at the same time. Yeah, I checked connections, battery, etc, etc. I have Fucking OIL leaking
from my starter bolts, not the big mounting bolts. That plain and that simple.

he tried to get me to check this and that......after 50+ years as a mechanic I know when I want a starter.

no disrespect to Curtis but I tried twice to day to call him and make sure I ordered everything I need, at one time.

I want to talk to a person live. Now I have to wait till next week. I hate riding the Harley, that's why I bought the DOG.
I'm pullin mine in the morning before I go to the doctor, Hell with a little grease.

OIL BATH, IN THE STARTER ??? THIS IS WHY I WANT A NEW STARTER !!
that way I have a warranty!! 8400 miles, this sucks

Yea he said email is the only way to reach him these days. He is pretty prompt on the emails. Said he has too many things going on to take calls. Your bike has standard Harley starter you can get the part from any Bike shop if you prefer to talk to someone 1.8kw LSD starter.

OK, problem resolved! I found one piece of copper in this piss ant town. I marker out the curved side (battery) and
my handy carbide cutter. washed everything in GAS to rid the crud, cut and ground my
'new" piece adding about .120 to the curve. this just missed the plunger hole. laid a 90* bend and put it in
and tested the starter, works fine. Was back riding Sat morning. I did order a repair kit from HD to be on the safe side.
I will also be adding the S&S .600 cam soon so I will still buy a 2.0+KV starter anyway.
AND making real battery cables from welding cable, these look chincy to say the least.
