yeppers! Deltran(who makes the tender) is a very cool company!:up: last Oct. my ring terminal lead got messed up and I called them to order 2...so I have a spare....and they sent me both of them free!!:whoop: pretty good customer service!....here is my thread on this...with pic's....

Gas Mileage On A 2008 K-9 EFI

I'm still breaking in my 2008 K-9 EFI and have found that I can get about 140 miles before I get real concerned about sucking air. I've not been on the Interstate yet, nor crusing at 70 mph. So, I'm continuing to learn what to expect. I keep a close track of the trip odometer. Good luck.

I got my battery tender off of ebay...$21.95 plus a bit for shipping. Comes out the same if you get it local, and hey they need your business too!

Maby its his speedo is off on mile. Dont tell me by now that they havent fixed the speedo issues!My 06 has been through 2 of them already.:angry:

2 weekends ago I put some extra gas in an ozarka bottle, wrapped it up, threw it in my tote bage and rode until I ran out. I was out at 120 when it died. It was all cruising miles.

The gas mileage will vary based on so many factors, it is very hard to say what is to be expected. I like most will be looking for the pump at around 100. More habit and safety than a need. Many time I could have gone another 40 miles others may not made it to next exit. 100 works for me overall.

The reserve is the mystery reserve for I have hit it twice and one time, I swear I did not get over .5 miles before she shut off, another time I went around 5 miles and hit the pump, so not sure how far it would have went.

Do keep up with the recommended maintenance and pull out the valve occasionally and make sure the screen is clear of any debris also.

On the enricher, very seldom use it and if so, it is when it is very cold out and has set enough to mcool down. Like most just a couple of twist on throtle, hit run switch and start, use hand throttle to get it warmed up. If enricher is used, usuall about half way and soon as she start off it goes and hand throttle only.

I've went about 140 miles before I had to switch over to reserve. Like most on here at 100 I start looking for the pump. :D

One time I filled mine to the max. With a friend, ran the bike until is started to sputter. I got exactly 138 miles with a 2007 Bulldog. It was bone dry and actual ran out within a 1/8 mile of gas station. I knew before I started, the tank was completely full. I just stop at 100 miles, which equates to when my ass is worn out. Good luck.. My bike gets about the same mileage going fast or slow..

Pardon my ingnorance but can some one tell me what the "enrichener" is? This is my first carbureted chopper, it's my first chopper actually...lol. Had eleven sport bikes then a EFI Suzuki 1500 Intruder....i absolutely LOVE this bike.

I had 127 miles on at Sturgis and filled up. I still had almost a gallon left. The enrichener acts like a choke.

My bike has split tanks with two gas caps and a crossover that is standard size fuel line, very small. The guy I bought the bike from told me the cap on the left tank was just a dummy cap so don't try to take it off it won't turn. So every time he filled up he stood there and waited for that puny crossover line to equalize the level in the tanks. 10 minutes of searching on here and I found out the left cap was reverse thread. Just another example of how this site has helped me with my bike. I was tempted to call and tell him but I decided to just let it be. His only complaint about the bike was it took forever to fill with gas lmfao! I bet it did!

I'm thinking I had a bad batch of fuel the last time I filled - I couldn't have been out of gas, could I?

What type of mileage do these bikes get?

it might be that the fuel level was low and it was sloshing back and forth over the pick up. had that happen a few times, bike surged some from that and oh yea, time for a pit stop.
