If was an expensive lesson learned. also found out I have a dead compression release on my front jug. I can't believe the set it that expensive. Plus I gotta buy the socket to get it out. Love my dog, but when do you just say enough is enough. I say never but still....

I thought I remember seeing a post or something about if you have issues with the RIP kit Gen 2 it was because it was switched from positive grounded to negative grounded.. which makes sense because I'm shorting out the PCB board in the housing with I'm assuming the factory bolts that are essentially too long, like she said lol

Too much grog for the evening.., I've also got a dead speedometer, tach, and missing my high beam light. However I do have turn signal lights on both sides, granted I don't turn the right hand control housing too tight..

I do remember a thread on fixing or somewhat testing the Speedo itself...

Finally got her started and running, just gotta put all the wires back where they go and the tank back on.

Did a dry run on the harness until I made sure it would work..big shout out to all of you gentlemen for the assistance..

Can't say thanks enough...

We need to have a big ole get together for some brews and or coffee and a ride some day..

Arkansas has some pretty good riding country. Or even the back of the dragon in VA.

I can confirm that and 05 Chopper backbone harness will fit on an 06 K9 without any issues.

Good deal man. Stop thru Daves in Sept. We have to say farewell to Mikey this year, but we will be there.

My issue was the top right screw grounding out inside the housing, once removed, no more issues with the right PCB.

Rode last night to a local dive bar and had a burger and some Parmesan fries, and a couple of Miller Lite's, and on the way home the damn bearing went out in my rear rim on the right side..

Which is odd because I just changed them out like 2 years or maybe it was 3 years ago, figured they would have lasted longer than a few seasons...I may have bull humped the axle on too tight, I need to get me a damn torque wrench..

My pops is on his way over with his bike jack so I can get this thing off again..Last time I had to go to a bearing business to have them ordered because I have aftermarket hubs and the bearings BDM sells won't fit (bought some last time from BDM and had to return them).

My bad, I probably called it by the wrong name, the spacer inside the hub in the pic.

Goes around the axle bolt, keeps the bearings in place I guess. I think the last time I changed out the bearings, I measured the previous spacer and used a piece of gas pipe I think. Does it have to have the same inside diameter as the outside diameter of the axle? I think I know why it ruined the bearing, because I think the piece of pipe I used , the ID was bigger then the OD of the axle.
